Is there ever a saw event in the north of the country? i remember a few years ago about 3 jet boats and a few fast electrics turned up at herrington with all the gear, never seen it since... is there a event in the north of England any time?

Branston water park is in burton on trent, it is well up north to me but being a southerner anything higher than the Watford gap is up north, I guess if your in the Scottish borders Burton is down south to you.

hell I had a good time at Aylesbury years ago and there were white horses on the lake all day.

Yeah, it can be a tad rough at Aylesbury, I raced there in the 90's and think that it was the only time that a race meeting had to be stopped because it was too rough for the rescue boat! Anyone here remember that day?
Cheers,
Ian.

Yes that's right, the Speed Records Day (as it used to be called before it got 'Americanised') was run there for a couple of years but as there is now no one from that area who races or is interested in fast electrics it has moved further south to the same venue used by the I/C lads. I live in Bridlington so Burtoin is 'down south' for me too.
Cheers,
Ian.
